Our Options For Layered Ceramic Restorations at Precision Arts Dental Studio

Layering is considered an essential part of accomplishing porcelain restorations. With attention to detail, our ceramists can create the restorations you need using your photography and case notes. Our ceramist is LVI trained and provides beautiful consistent layered ceramics.

  • Full Contour Zirconia: Full-contour zirconia works to combine both esthetics and strength. Our highly trained technicians work with advanced CAD/CAM technology to offer the highest flexural strength for any restoration you need. This product is indicated for posterior crowns, inlays, onlays, crowns, and bridges and is considered an excellent solution for patients with bruxism or poor preparation space for PFMs.
  • Multilayered Full-Contour Zirconia: These translucent, multilayered restorations worked for selected screw-in and cemented-in dental crowns and bridges and single and multi-unit full-coverage restorations. Their high translucency allows the materials to blend in with the neighboring teeth naturally. The color and shade changes in natural-looking layers that pass through the materials, making them an excellent resource for those looking into high aesthetics.
  • Lithium Disilicate Porcelain: Lithium disilicate, also known by brand names such as Emax, is a specific type of porcelain that improves the inherent strength and is often used as a core material for layering. When choosing Emax restorations, you can provide your patients with porcelain’s stunning beauty with twice the strength of regular restoration. This option is excellent for crowns, veneers, inlays, and onlays.
  • Super Translucent Zirconia: As one of the most translucent options, it offers a flexural strength of 850 MPa and 50% translucency. As an excellent alternative to Emaz restorations, these products are indicated for single-unit crowns and 3-unit bridges for anywhere along the arch.

Our technicians can help smooth the process with ceramic build-ups when you fit the framework onto the abutment teeth. We apply our ceramics in several layers and consider all information you provide to our office, including tooth shade, dental arch, adjacent homologous teeth, and case study impressions.
